Position: Professional Cook (day shift / night shift).

Purpose of position: Under direction and supervision of the Chef, performs general kitchen work for the proper functioning of the establishment. Elaborates preparations and dishes with the Chef and/or in his absence.

Duties/Responsibilities: Responsible for cleaning and organizing kitchen area. Responsible for completing special tasks for opening/closing the kitchen. Responsible for controlling the stock of raw materials, food, and food preparations together with the Chef. Responsible for the preparation of food: preparations, dishes and grill. Responsible for grill. Responsible for all food and dishes served during absence of the Chef. Responsible for kitchen assistants (assigning tasks, monitoring of tasks, monitoring and optimization of human resources employed to work in the kitchen, coaching of employees for both individual and professional growth within the company - always according with instructions and methodology indicated and exercised by the Chef). Responsible for completing specific kitchen tasks. Responsible for completing specific tasks requested by the Chef.

Knowledge and requirements: General knowledge of professional kitchen is a must. Previous experience in professional kitchens is a must. Previous experience in Chef Restaurants or Cusine d’autor is a plus. Must be able to function under limited supervision. Must be able to communicate verbally, and understood and follow written and verbal instructions.
