Position: Waiters & Waitresses (day shift / night shift).

Purpose of position: Under direction and supervision of the shift manager, performs general labor work in cleaning and organizing the saloon for the proper functioning of the establishment. Delivering exceptional customer service. Taking foor and beverage orders, and delivering to the customers efficiently.

Duties/Responsibilities: Responsible for organizing chairs and tables on sidewalk, saloon and yard. Responsible for “mise en plas”. Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room, escort them to their tablea, give them the menu, make recommendations and answer to their questions/ needs/ requests. Introduce, describe and recommend our wines and cocktails. Taking food and beverages order in an efficient manner and following the established steps of service. Delivers food promptly and professionally; maintains safe food handling and sanitation standards. Follows up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests. Picking up food and beverage on tables, and clean them after it. Demonstrates a complete understanding of our menu items and ingredients. Advises guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested; accommodates reasonable requests and notes preferences. As needed, demonstrates knowledge about which dishes are allow for vegetarian and celiac customers. Communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure that orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated. Exhibits exceptional communications skills and demonstrates ability to get along well with others. Remains flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff. Collects tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures. Promotes a clean, safe and neat environment for guests. Maintains a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding customer information. Promptly addresses complaints or issues; always relays relevant information or complaints directly to supervisor. Ensures that the saloon is properly set up prior to and after the service period; keeps area clean and neat while meeting established sanitation standards. Operates phone. Handle reservations, delivery and take away orders. Capable of making cold and hot drinks. Capable of working with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions. Performs other duties as assigned. Responsible for completing daily and weekly organizing lists.

Knowledge and requirements: General knowledge of restaurant operations is preferred, but not required. Previous experience as a waiter/ waitresses is preferred, but not required. Knowledge of Israeli food is preferred, but not required. Previous experience at Chef Restaurants or Cuisine d'auteur is preferred, but not required. Must be able to understand, speak and read Spanish. English, French, Portuguese, Hebrew and other languages are a plus. Must be able to function under limited supervision. Must be able to communicate verbally, and understood and follow written and verbal instructions.
